Leaf it out

I'm back again with another couple of cards to share....both are floral cards which I'll be entering into  The flower challenge .

Here's card 1:

Love this sentiment & it's my first time using it.  This card came about by going through lots of my die cut flowers I had stashed away.  I decided to use coloured card, and stamped my sentiment first and then using Distress Oxides,  ink brushes, & a stencil, I inked through the stencil, keeping the middle of the card darker and getting lighter at the edge.  To finish my card, I used a gelly roll gold pen and framed the sentiment, and added a few dots here and there.  I loved how this turned out, considering I had no previous thought of what design it would be.  I just 'went with the flow' as they say!

Card 2:

Now, it wouldn't be a shocker to those that know, but I'm a huge fan of WPlus9's stamps and dies - and I'm a little late to the game of purchasing this Tossed floral stamp  but I liked it as soon as it came out.  I've admired so may cards with this stamp set.  It's small but beautiful.  After stamping I decided to colour with my ZIG clean colour real brush pens & Zig blender pen.  SO easy to use, especially when stamping on Bristol card stock. I finished off my card by adding a ' hello' word die sentiment from Wplus9's Basic greetings die.

That's it for now.  Hope you have a good week :-)

Frosty flower

Good evening everyone!

Talk about cutting it close! I had a chance today to craft today just

for the sake of crafting. Lately I have been making cards for

peoples birthdays and a few orders too but today was all about

crafting for me! BUT, I’ve seen a challenge I’d like to enter

into...but I have45 mins to do so….can I do it??

Anyway, my card today is all about the sparkle/frost effect and

Catherine Poolerstamps and inks. I’ve been wanting to use the

Bloomin’ happy stamp set like forever (well, it feels like it) so out

came my stamps and ink and I came up with the following design.

I really like how its turned out and boy does it SPARKLE!!

Take a look and let me know what you think!

OK..now to enter my card into the following challenge:

Addicted to CAS - Frosty

I'll be back soon!

Gate shaped card with flowers

Happy Friday morning to you!

I’m posting a card that I made yesterday, using the free
Modern Anemone stamps and dies from the ‘Simply cards &
paper craft’ magazine, issue #200, along with Altenew’s
alcohol pens & another free Altnew sentiment stamp from a precious Simply cards mag.

I started off stamping out all the flower and leaves, using the
outline stamp with Altenew’s Obsidian pigment ink & I decided
to colour in the flowers, rather than stamp the inner part ofthe flowers, with the colours
Y204, R403, R601 & G702.

I had an idea to create some kind
of garden gate & having the flowers growing up and over
different parts of the card & highlighting a sentiment. I used
 Altenew’s pens Y911 & Y932 to create a wood panel effect for
the ‘gate’ & for the sentiment, I used Hero Arts gold
embossing powder. I used the embossing powder on the flower
stamens and scattered dashes along the wood effect on the card.

I enjoyed making this card and would like to enter it into the
following challenge{s}

The flower challenge #40 - shaped cards

That's all for now.  Enjoy your upcoming weekend!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to one and all!

I'm posting pics of my batch Christmas cards.  I used stamps from one of my fav stamp designers, WPlus9 - Holiday Houses stamp set.  I remember last year, or rather Christmas 2018 now, seeing Yana Smakula design her Christmas cards using the same stamps.  I loved her card designs, so I borrowed it! But, I did add touches of my own to my cards.

I hope this year brings all you wish and hope for <3
