Gate shaped card with flowers

Happy Friday morning to you!

I’m posting a card that I made yesterday, using the free
Modern Anemone stamps and dies from the ‘Simply cards &
paper craft’ magazine, issue #200, along with Altenew’s
alcohol pens & another free Altnew sentiment stamp from a precious Simply cards mag.

I started off stamping out all the flower and leaves, using the
outline stamp with Altenew’s Obsidian pigment ink & I decided
to colour in the flowers, rather than stamp the inner part ofthe flowers, with the colours
Y204, R403, R601 & G702.

I had an idea to create some kind
of garden gate & having the flowers growing up and over
different parts of the card & highlighting a sentiment. I used
 Altenew’s pens Y911 & Y932 to create a wood panel effect for
the ‘gate’ & for the sentiment, I used Hero Arts gold
embossing powder. I used the embossing powder on the flower
stamens and scattered dashes along the wood effect on the card.

I enjoyed making this card and would like to enter it into the
following challenge{s}

The flower challenge #40 - shaped cards

That's all for now.  Enjoy your upcoming weekend!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to one and all!

I'm posting pics of my batch Christmas cards.  I used stamps from one of my fav stamp designers, WPlus9 - Holiday Houses stamp set.  I remember last year, or rather Christmas 2018 now, seeing Yana Smakula design her Christmas cards using the same stamps.  I loved her card designs, so I borrowed it! But, I did add touches of my own to my cards.

I hope this year brings all you wish and hope for <3

Christmas Wishes 2019

Gosh!! Can you believe it, I haven't visited my blog for just over a year.  I guess having cancer treatment and not making many cards contributed towards that! But, I'm here today, having made a small amount of Christmas cards, and show casing them on Instagram & a dear friend telling me to enter the card into a challenge - so Michelle, consider myself told! And thank you, I'm happy that you nudged me into looking at my blog again.

The two cards below were created using an old poinsettia stampset calle 'Poinsettia Box' from the Woodware Company.  I love this stamp and it's one that I would not pass on - I love it.  Ive had it a few years now so I can't find it to link it up.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I do have more cards to post but I may save those until the new year.

Sending my all best Christmas wishes to any readers that have dropped in - and I wish you also a very Happy New Year!

All the best!

Should I stay or should I go now...

Well, hasn't it been a very long time since I was here last? WOW! time definately does fly!

So, where have I been? Gosh, now that is a question.  To be brief, lets just say, life has it's curve balls & we have to deal with what we have, so cutting it short, health was and still is an issue.  I am now dealing with breast cancer, I lost my Father the beginning of this month and 19 months ago, I lost my Mother - both to cancer.

But despite that, I can say that I am grateful that both my parents we cared for and passed peacfully and I remain positive in dealing with my cancer.  I have a wonderful husband & family & their support is constant.  I live for the day and deal with whatever is thrown at me and, when I need to shut off my little ol' craft room gets a visit! And talking of craft room, I want to mention that I was approached by a card making editor, asking me if she could do a feature on me! That was a lovely surprise and came in a time when I needed distraction (I was waiting on results at the time).

So, without further a do,  here is my card, featuring stamps used from one of my favourte stamp companies, WPlus9!

I used the stamps from the Holiday Houses stamp set.

Making cards & Papercraft Magazine (in your shops now)

Here's the feature!!

So, that's my little update.  I'm hoping to maybe get back here more often, in my good weeks between treatment, so watch this space.

Until the next time.....

Hi everyone!

I used my Ranger dye ink to stamps the sweet little stitched flower, button and leaf images for the background of my card. I then die cut the flowers, leaves and little button from plain white paper to add to my card.  I die cut the circle from an unbranded die and then stamped the 'we LOVE YOU' in the blue ink.  I finished my card off with a few iridescent sequins.  I love this card as the colours are really as vibrant as you see here- and of course, I love anything Wplus9 so it's an all round win for me!  This card will be heading off to my Sister!

Just a side note regarding the Ranger inks -which I sincerely LOVE - I purchased them in a UK online store, for a fabulous price - click the link if you've been thinking about purchasing some - they were on offer and selling fast.( At the time of this blog posting, there were not many ink pads left but lots of re-inkers in stock).

So, that's it for now.  Look out for my next post (Saturday) I have some exciting news to share!

In the meantime, take care,

Until next time,

Leaves so bright!

Good Morning, all :)

Hope you are having a good start to your day?

These two cards below, were posted on over at my Instagram account - the second pic was posted with a caution - that background....it's so bright! lol

I have been enjoying playing with the Autumn Morning, rustling leaves stamps from Crafter's Companion UK.  I've created cards with traditional Autumn colours but on these two cards, I fancied a change - Oh my...seriously, they are as bright at they look.  I used Ranger Dye inks to stamp these leaves and I have to say I LOVE these inks! The background of the second card was made using Distress inks.  I'm calling that card my 'Tree of Hope' - I shall be framing it & placing it on my craft room wall.

I hope my cards have 'brightened' your day ;-)

I would like to include my first card into the following challenges:

Thanks for dropping by,
